    How about, Trance Euphoria?

The first Ibiza Euphoira I quite liked (c.98/99 I'd say). Art of Trance - Madagascar, Chicane - Saltwater, Seven Cities etc... all the biggies. Back when I was into trance that is!

In terms of Trance though, one of the albums that got me into electronic music in the first place was this

No older than 11/12 I got this, Prodigy's ''Jilted Generation'' and some other bits and pieces off an older cousin and played them continuously in an early discman till one of them literally warped due to overheating.

My two favourite tracks back then? ''The Orange Theme (Remix)'' and boards.ie's own Binary Finary with Matt Darey's cut of 1999

Only messing! Was never much of a trance fan myself, Hardfloor are fecking amazing though; the entire genre of trance takes it's name from this tune, check it out!

Oh, apparently John O'Callaghan is pretty big in the whole Trance game and there's a fair few decent Irish tunes around... Check the releases on O'Callaghan's label and you should find something decent and support an irish head if you like the tunes...

Wouldn't be much euphoric trance though in fairness.

You learn something new every day!

Pretty funny though because of that 303 in syncopated 6/8 time over the 4/4 base and drums (the whole driving feel the track has); d16 Phosycon - the 303 VSTi that Hawtin and all them use - has a preset which is basically whats used in this tune. I've always loved it but I'm delighted now that I've never used it in a track as I'd be caught out! It'd be pretty much like having a slightly different take on the lead synth of Da Hool's ''Love Parade'' and thinking you were a musical mastermind :D

'Tranceformed from Beyond' is a great place to start in terms of early trance... not quite 'Euphoric' though in terms of the late 90s buzz, bit more rough around the edges!

The first release was in 1992 on the MFS label but it was reissued in 1998 with a 2nd bonus disc, that's the one to get as the first disc on the original release is mixed but with the bonus disc from 1998 you get the full tracks on the 2nd disc.

Actually 'Thinking About Myself' by Cosmic Baby is another good one - there are loads but I haven't really listened to much trance lately... listening now though is bringing back good memories.
