how to start online trading?

    Hi,
    I'm looking to get into a little trading of shares online however I'm slightly stumped as to where to start.
    All I'm looking for is access to software online where i can safely trade shares ideally on the global market and not just in Ireland.

    There are loads of websites offering various seminars, group meeting etc each varying dramitcally in price.

    I'm just looking for access to:
    1. credible,
    2. reliable,
    3. reasonably priced trading software,
    4. ideally online so it can be accessed anywhere.

    What i'm looking to avoid is:
    1. Broker,
    2. Long expensesive training courses
    3. Share group meetings

    Any help and advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
