Belling oven door won't close fully...

There are two metal brackets sticking out of the frame of the oven...they look like half of a bonio dog biscuit and when the door closes, they fit into a hole in the door which contains a spring-loaded plastic roller which latches on the "dog biscuit".

However, now, when I try to close the door, it doesnt seal and stops about half an inch short at the top.

    Any ideas??

sounds like new hinges, common enough problem on ovens which are a few years old. They get strained over time

A couple of decent photos might help (to diagnose the problem I mean, not solve it :))

I'd an oven in the past that when you tugged upwards on the door handle the door would shift on it's hinge and not close properly. A certain amount of jiggling would get it back into position but hard to say what to do in your case

I have a similar problem with a brand new (as yet unused) Zanussi double oven. The glass door feels very loose just before it closes and seals fully.

Kinda feels like its gonna fall off.

is this common or have I got a dud oven?
