    Hi,

I am looking for suggestions on where to go for the June bank holiday weekend. I want to go somewhere that has a festival on something of the like, and also is quite close to the beach (incase the weather is nice).

can anyone make any suggestions? also i will be driving from dublin so want to keep journey time to about 4 hours in the car.

    thanks,

    burger

You could try Doonbeg, Co. Clare if you liked jazz. Nice beach called the White Strand close by too.

Yeah, I live close to it. The Jazz gets to me after a while though. Some of the bands can be too loud in the pubs. Personally I prefer trad festivals such as the fleadhs and the Willie Clancy, etc.
