I have 225 grams of steak at home in the fridge that has not being cooked and I was wondering if I grill it on the George Foreman would it once cooked have the same amount of calories as uncooked. Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I think I read before that uncooked chicken weighs more (hence may have more calories) then cooked i.e loses its water retention etc.

It does lose some (not a lot) of calories in the form of fat run off, you can always collect it in the little tray and weigh it at the end if you wanna be anal about it, but it's probably not enough to affect the calorie count too much one way or the other. Calorie counts can be inaccurate to the tune of 10%.

Tesco generally do a thing on their packets where they give the calories and nutritional breakdown for 100g of raw meat, and then for a typical portion cooked and trimmed. If you use the cooked and trimmed numbers, you should have a reasonable idea of your calories.

Meat is a food that is impossible to standardise. There will always be some variation from one piece to another. Pick a reasonable number and stick with it.

Just because it weighs more doesn't mean more calories. It loses water, but the protein and fat stay behind.
Cooked meat has more cals per 100g (as it has lost water)
Use the raw weight and raw values per 100g. It'll be pretty close.

Don't bother with fat run off or anything like that, its not worth it
