Don't park it with one set of wheels on a kerb, and the other off. It can cause the tin top to flex and distort, which will eventually lead to leaks.

No I hate it to be honest.

Not my cup of tea mate but hope it goes well for you.:)

If you wanna lose the slightly feminine image associated with that sort of car i recommend maybe getting a decent set of alloys or maybe even a bodykit.

I totally agree with this. Bodykit is an absolute must for relatively new Renaults. Defo get a bolt on turbo, a dump valve, cut the springs, whack on some sort of Subaru spoiler on the back, white alloys, huge sunstrip, a few speed stripes on the sides and Dodge Viper stripes across the top, BMW stubby ariel, a list of all the things thieves can steal on the side of it i.e. Kenwood, JBL etc etc.

Buy yourself a fetching Burberry cap, pair of trackky bottoms, nice white socks that you can tuck trackky bottoms into and your sorted!

    DAYCENT LAD!!

Selling it or giving to my girlfriend/wife

    now that is funny Cartman!!

man to be honest looking at that video was kind of like looking at something from David Brent in the office I cringed in a kind of "does this man not understand the gayness of what he is doing, omg he think he's cool, oh no"

All in all if it makes you happy fair play to you. But in response to you're question No you should of stuck with the 97 Polo

he asked for opinions, in my opinion that is a hairdressers car and I wouldnt drive it , we never insulted him, just his choice in car , but were internet tough guys so we can say whatever we want because its not real life

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 9,425 ✭✭✭FearDark

I'd drive it. Certainly better than my own car anyway.

    There I said something nice.

    I can sleep tonight.

    Top Gear Review
Council flash if we’re honest. The kind of car bought as a sop to a nagging housewife, or purchase by younger ladies who want a drop-top but know nothing about cars, except that the Renault dealer is the one with the big sign next to Waitrose.

    :o

In all fairness does the guy not have one male friend that said hmm...a convertible renault megane eh? Are they not more for women.!!!

Ah well some people consider mini's & hyundai coupe's to be girly so each to their own & all that sort of cliche bullsh!t.

Well if we've learned anything here its that marketing really works, all those ads on The Late Late Show and those competitions to win this very car were not in vein because somewhere subconsciously the OP decided to buy this car without actually thinking it through beacuse if he did...

I think its the video that made me just cringe, and get a little narky with the OP. Its sooooo cringeworthy.

Was gonna use it but i thought it was CHEATING! because its basically a factory on tracks.

In fact its an immediate disqualification because its running on tracks not wheels.

    Game, set & match.:)

Screw keeping it. New car please. Otherwise maybe drop the Renault Sport turbo motor? Cut off the roof and weld in a roll cage. Bout the only thing thats gonna make it cool.

I'd lower it as it stands except maybe throwing in a couple of slim wheel spacers. It would harden it up a little. I think the wheels are pretty cool actually.

I know the OP asked for peoples opinions but its still his car, which he paid for with his money, no need for all these "gay" remarks.
