Suits, do you trust them?

All the real criminals wear suits, bankers, solicitors, salesmen and mobsters, all wear suits. Many places seem to think that wearing a suit makes you somehow respectable but everybody should know by now that this is the uniform of the slimeball, I've always distrusted someone in a suit.

Whenever I see someone in a suit approaching me I know for a fact they want to ask stupid questions or sell me something pointless to make the repayments on their capitalist uniform.

Does a well dressed man make you think this must be a respectable fellow or do you throw your eyes to heaven wondering what kind of drivel he'll try and spew all over your lovely day?

Uniform of the slimeball.....You've hit the nail on the head there. I wouldn't even wear one when I'm in my coffin.

For the most part, I think suits make people look for respectable. That being said, you can't dress mutton up as lamb.

Thing is, all depends on the suit.

Some are really classy and sharp and make a man look fab. They are usually not the expensive or designer ones, rather ones that are well made and fit well and suit the man wearing them.

However, your standard corporate 9-5 suit is just not attractive and this is usually worn by the defendant.

Met a lot of slime-balls in my time and I have never though that they were slime-balls just because they were in suits. (Some were and some weren't).

Have to say though that guys going around on Saturday or Sunday in what would appear to be a suit or casual version with the only difference being that they are not wearing a tie and to top button is open, creep the absolute crud out of me. its just wrong

I trust and distrust people, based on their actions. What they use to cover their nakedness seems rather irrelevant....

It depends on the profession. A man in a suit....yummy!! :P

We don't tend to see people in suits outside of the corporate world, so I suppose I'm talking more about business relations. I only see suits when salesmen or consultants come a knocking. I have more trust for a salesman that isn't dressed in a suit, especially salesmen actually. I deal with manufacturing related sales and if I see someone coming in wearing work wear I'm going to trust him more than the guy in the suit because I'm thinking that that person in the suit hasn't got a clue what their talking about and they're assuming the suit makes them trustworthy. That expands into every area from there.

    I hate suits.

    I hate them all.

Sometimes they're necessary but I even hate the 'thought out' ones that try to be a bit less corporate and 'wide-boy' clever with the tapering trousers and the pointy fashion italian imitation shoes......AAAAAAAAAAaaaarrrrrrrrr!!!

The only way a suit looks cool is if its worn grudgingly.

Or if its a zoot suit ot Huggy Bear is wearin it. I'll allow that.

I wear nothing but my birthday suit all day, every day and am treated with equal disdain by the lawless and law abiding professional or layperson

I really like suits, but my experience of them is different to most.My boyfriend was wearing a suit the night we started going out and looked very good in it might I add!My friends wear suits to parties all the time,or just for the craic.I went to a fantastic 21st where everyone was in formal wear and had a great night.

So,I associate suits with my friends and good times, not bankers or criminals.Suits ftw.:)

Ya....I live around the IFSC in Dubland. Suits around here means it's ok to use phrases like "Roish Ya...." "mmmm James is looking after the Aportmonts...." and my own personal favourites "going forward......."
"in the long-term" and "projecting into the future"

These statements can, of course, be used interchangeably, allowing what seems like an infinite pile of waffle to spew from suits mouths on a daily basis.

"Going forward, James is looking after the aportmonts, in the long term."

It was a while back now; so I'm not so sure.

Ive had to wear a suit in my job but the people higher up didn’t I always felt that a suit was just another uniform I had to wear and so hated it. Casual dress code is now high on my list when finding a new job.

When I go to a bar on a Friday night I don’t like to go to places full of "Suits" as the likelihood of meeting pretentious wackers increases by about 100%.
