Had eggs in the bator....39deffo fertile.one clear......due out yesterday...got three more or less at the same time yday....nothing from the others....so i figured they would hatch last night...this morning nada...got home....most had pipped and many had just started to...one had pipped and then died......that is 36 hrs difference from the first hatches to the remainig pipping why???????

Also is the humidity too low at 75%?

Why do you reckon did one pip and then die?

oh yes they were michigan bluebacks, melanistic and japanese wine backs.

    cheers,
    Darragh

Humidity too high at 75!
45 to 55 normally & 60-65 max for hatching days is what I use.

Is the heat circulating properly in it? Any cold spots?
    Is it turning ok?
Were all the eggs layed on the same day or do you leave em build up for a few days?

I often get a few that pip & don't seem strong enough to get out rest of the way.
Even when I pull a little egg off there still too weak...

    Thanks,

humidity was 45 for 21 days then 70...i put it up to 75 when they werent hatching...i figured the shells were not soft enough

nah no cold spots the incy is a good one.

all eggs were set on the same day..bought them from a lad in carlow...they were laid over two days if that is your question???

i reckon i over crowded the bator with eggs and whe it came time to hatch when i went to turn them on their sides there was bareley enough room.....they pipbut dont seem to have enough room to hatch.....i have had 5 more since i took the others out and i reckon i will get more tonight.
