delayed post office collection of jsb?

    Hi i left my purse in my mams car today. shes gone home now but she lives at the other end of the country. im supposed to collect my jsb tomorrow but my welfare card is with her. do you know if i can delay collecting my jsb until thurs? she could post it to me? otherwise she'll have to drive 3 hours to get it to me and she'd have to get time off work! do ya think that's possible?

    Are you near your social welfare office? You should be able to get a temporary card for collecting your money from there.
    EDIT: Usually you have 2/3 days to collect from the post office anyway, so if the money is only put in tomorrow you have until Friday to collect, no need to contact anyone.

    Hi thanks for the quick reply. i have just moved to a rural area and the cwo is only resident on tues and thurs. i could try it in the mornin hopefully. i was told to collect it each wed so it should be there til friday?

    It should be there til Friday, yes. I'd get a temporary card on Thursday and hit the Post Office afterwards, and make sure you keep your card on you from then on! :)
