Hi Lads decent bargains in Tesco.
Tasty beer Hoegarden is 4 bottles for 5 Euro.
    Usually costs a lot more.
Also Erdinger on offer another beer usually expensive and rarely on offer.
    Both highly recommended.
    Enjoy

Is it the big 750ml Hoegarden? That would be a great offer. It makes you feel like a dwarf drinking out of the bottle ;)

it is. It's a good price compared to what it usually is, but I wouldn't call it good value, it's about rite at that price I think.

If you are a fan of wheat/weiss beers, the best value one at the moment would be Grafenwalder Hefe Weiss (not the pils- the cans look similar). Theses are available in Lidl at 1.19 per 500ml can(5%).

If you fancy something a bit better, then I recommend Schofferhofer , 500ml bottle from Aldi, either 1.69 or 1.79, lovely stuff.

Saw yesterday, local Superquinn had a big display set up announcing they were doing Paulaner Weissbeer 500ml for €2.50 !!! (...normally about €2.75)...WOW...not !

Went down the road to O'Briens take out and they were doing 2 for €4 !

Paulaner is probably the nicest of the generally available Weissbeer here so O'Briens deal is pretty decent. Similar price to Franziskaner in Lidl (€1.99 for 500ml) which is of comparable quality (although I prefer Paulaner slightly).

I'm still mourning that Kronenberg Beer Blanc is gone. Now THAT was a nice beer. Beamish and Crawford used to be the importers/distributors I think so once they went bust, so did the supply :(

That would be Dicey Reilly's on Harcourt Street: €2 a pint, bottle or short.
