    Hi,
I got a new boomerang and want to learn how to throw it. We drove all around galway this evening looking for a spot - salthill, renmore - all too many people around though.

    It's a big space required.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Throw it anywhere.

Sure, it's gonna come straight back into your hands anyway !

Seriously though, the football pitches down by the claddagh?

Would they not be used every evening I wonder?

It doesn't come back if you don't throw it properly. It could go anywhere when your beginning and hit someone or something.

The football pitches were being used - I wonder are they used every evening.

bu seriously I'd say with this weather you'd be lucky to find somewhere remote enough. have you tried out by Nemos peir? or renville park out past Oranmore?

I was afraid for a sec you were going to say that you got a new boomerang, but couldn't get rid of the old one :D

You could try Galway racecourse - plenty of room there.

    +1 Australia.

You should be save down in south Park a.k.a The swamp, down the Claddagh.

Out on the knocknacarra at the end of the western distruber road their is Cappagh PArk, has great open areas with 2/3 football pitches that are open areas with not much people.

See the thread about where to go for driving lessons for suggestions about large, empty car-parks. Just watch out for learner drivers.
