    Are you a hoarder.
Do you hold on to stuff that you never use.
I'm terrible for it- especially stuff like gadgetry.
You make excuses like "you never know when that floppy disc could come in useful".
What ridiculous stuff do you hold on to.

Look at Michael Mcintyre's standup about 'The Man Drawer'. I think this should be shown to everyone who is a hoarder like myself. It sounds exactly like the gadgets drawer in my kitchen.

My mother and my sister are hoarders.......It drives me mental. Id like to throw all my pocessions away and live as a hermit as a result.

Strike that I couldnt love without the internet.

I hold on to anything which holds even the slightest bit of sentimental value. Just checked my 'man drawer' there, and I got things ranging from the Heineken Cup final to a flyer I got on a night out from a friend. Seems to be filled mostly with tickets.

I have hoarding instincts. This is especially unfortunate, as I move a lot (often to another country), and basically will only have as much stuff that can go on a plane. So I try and keep myself in check, but require frequent mini-purges every time I move.

I'm having to do one at the moment. I am currently staring at a small roll of electrical tape I've had - no joke - about 20 years, and has traveled to multiple countries with me.

It's exactly the sort of thing that seems useful, but obviously isn't, or else it would've been used up by now. But it's so small, it seems a waste to get rid of it.

Me too, i keep the stupidest stuff. e.g. boarding passes from holidays

I have moved house a few times so that was good to get rid of most of the junk

    How does that work exactly?

i'm a hoarder. the amount of old mobile phones i have in the house is ridiculous. no bloody chargers for any of them.

i also have paper bags by the bucket load.

I used to hoard EVERYTHING, I had the box off my PS2, which I bought back in 2001, in mint condition in a wardrobe up until recently. Dunno what it is with console boxes I love keeping them. I used to keep magazines as well, had every copy of Empire from 1996-2007 at one stage, they weighed a fcuking ton though so I recycled them. Now I'm less hoardy, moving house tends to make you go a bit crazy with chucking stuff you have no need for, i even threw away all my cd cases and just the discs on a few spindles, boxes upon boxes of cds condensed into a few contained was a great feeling :)

I'm like the opposite to a hoarder, I absolutely despise clutter. I have clear-outs every few months where pretty much everything that I haven't used since the last clear-out gets dumped or given away.

My father is the worst hoarder ever, and since I moved out, my bedroom has become his new storeroom. I can barely get in there the odd time I go home!

Keeping tickets for things I love doing as well, I used to keep cinema tickets, how sad is that, but now they all use crappy small reciept things instead of proper tickets, when I was clearing out a drawer a few years ago I found dozens upon dozens of the things, i even found the ticket I had from seeing Jurassic Park back in 1993 when i was obsessed with anything with dinosaurs in it :D

I have my tickets for the two Wrestlemanias I was at as well, in a lanyard holder thingy I bought there, cos they're well worth keeping :)

Oh yeah, I've definitely a few skeletons in my closet!

the amount of wasted batteries in our house is unreal, and for some reason, someone in the house always puts them straight back in with the working ones! So annoying!

Training to be a primary teacher so the amount of magazines, shoes boxes, egg cartons and empty butter tubs is also piling up!

    That mustn't have been easy.
I went through a New Scientist phase, dunno when i'll throw them out.
