hi i need to tax my car for the first time . Upon reading the back of the form that i got from the garda station it says that i MUSt include the vehicle log book, original insurance and nct certificate and of course the fee. Im fairly certain that on my last car i only had to send the form stamped by the garda and the credit card details and it was all hunky dory. So do i really need to send the originals of the above documents?
    Thanks

Did you just but the car recently?
If YES just the log book into the tax office.
If NO and had the car off the road and don't want to pay the back tax then you need wants on the form (I think).

Yes I bought the car a few weeks ago. It's a 98 Honda civic and have the log now with the car in my name. I already got it stamped and signed by the hard for when it was off the road as I had to get it ncted which has now been done. I did not have to send the log book on my previous car. Is this a new rule?
It costs about 22 euro to get another log book from the vro in Shannon which I don't why should have to get another log book just to tax the car.
    Thanks
