passport problem

    hi

    my wife has a little problem with her passport and she doesnt know if she can travel or not.... to make a long story short, her passport is out of date in july and we are going to italy for a wedding in two weeks. (June) will she be able to travel????? she read somewhere that you cant travel if your passport has 6 months due to expire. she has applied for a new one but is not sure if she will get it in time. she tried to contact the passport several times but nobody is answering. anyone any advice??????

    I think once you're traveling within the EU it's fine.

    6 Months if you are entering a country where you require a VISA as you can apply online and get a visa in some countries for up to 6 months, like a US J6 working visa.

    If you arrive at the airport then they will turn you away because your passport will expire during your VISA invalidating your VISA.

    EU is fine once you return before it expires.
