Can you pick which Post Office you sign on at?

Losing my job in the next two weeks but for reasons I'm not going into here, I cannot collect the dole from my local PO. So when you first sign on at the SW Office can you choose which PO you want to collect from?

For example, a city-centre PO rather than the one nearest you in suburbs?

I was given a choice of 2 or 3 in my general vicinity in about a 6 mile radius. There was another postoffice, not listed, that was closer to me, but I was told I had to pick one of the ones on the list

They didn't tell me I had to pick the one closest to me. When I filled out the form, I forgot about a small post office near to me, and put down the main post office instead. now it's awkward for me because I've moved in the mean time and now I'm further away from the main one, and closer to the one I should've picked

I'm guessing every office is different.

There's a space on the form for you to put down where you want to collect it. I don't know why that's there if you have no choice??
Just put down whichever one you want. The worse they can do, is say no.

You can choose any post office within a reasonable distance of your home address. They do not force you to use the NEAREST one.
