I really like Vasquez but not sure how he will fare after his eye problems and the 2 year lay-off. Marquez is a battered warrior aswel so hopefully it will be another good brawl, slight concern that Israel will be stopped tho

Great stoppage, I feared that though and he clearly wasn't ready to fight. His eyes were so tender it was madness putting him in that fight, his fight team should have known better(I'm sure they did know but were greedy). There shouldn't be a 5th imo as Israel should give it up over his eye problems but there will be, hopefully he will make a bag of money off it and then retire

Can't believe they were talking about a fifth fight in the post fight interview. Was a disgusting fight to see. Felt physically ill at the end. Both warriors, Vazquez has to pack it in now

Once I seen how weak his eyes were I was hoping they'd stop it soon, found it a little sick to be honest. He really should have given himself more time

With the scarring over those eyes (when it heals) even a Paulie Malignaggi fearther fisted type fighter would open those eyelids up again and cause an easy stoppage.

To be fair to Juanma its a payday that wont be round too long. I know cab is 33 but he is still very fresh.

Its a pity about the eyes cause a 5th would be awesome. It would take the best oart of a year though and i cant see them eyes healing at all. Its a gaurantee they will open. What does Vasquez do from here? He is very limited as to who he can fight now.
Oh and that wbc silver belt is an absolute embarrassment.

I wouldn't see a 5th as being worthwhile tbh, I know Vazquez had serious issues with the eyes (which will never heal anyway) but Marquez just looked alot sharper to me at this stage of their careers (which is odd given their ages).

Vazquez should retire, he should never have been let near a ring so soon with those eyes especially against an opponent of Marquez's quality, I can only image that the eyes are weaker than ever now
