PSN Multiple Accounts - Different Regions - Possible?

Hi All

Just did a quick search and found nothing that answered my question about multiple "master" accounts on a single ps3.

Does anyone know if you can have multiple "master" accounts on a ps3? Having read many threads on boards it seems lots of people have multiple accounts from different regions i.e one for USA, Japan, UK.

I understand many people create international accounts but when I try it they are all "master" accounts and so I've never used them on my ps3.

I've read that it's not possible to have more than one "master" account on your ps3 and as I couldn't bear losing all my trophies and game saves I've been hugely reluctant to use my UK or USA account info on my Irish ps3.

Should I back it up before trying to use my international accounts on the ps3?

If it does appear to be safe to do so is it just a case of singing in with the relevant international username (email) and password each time to access your different international accounts?

Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

If you just want to browse and download stuff from the different country's PSN store, yeah just create a new account and go for it, it wont effect your Irish PSN account at all. I download lots of stuff through my US and Japanese account and just sign back into my Irish one and everything is in there...

Thanks for that. Just got worried about the "master" "Sub" accounts issue. Just browsing and perhaps rent/buy some movies really.

As far as I know, you can't rent/buy movies from other regions on psn. You can download demos and things like that no problem though. I have an Irish account, a US account, a Hong Kong account and a Japanese account (worthless to me as I cant navigate the menus in Japanese) all on the one ps3.

You're right!!! Just discovered that myself...nuts!!:D Logged in to my UK account fine but could find no reference to videos in the PS store. Not to worry, t'was worth a shot I suppose.
