The DIY Bug has set in again.....must be the weather.
I have a few wooden field gates around the house that the paint is gone all flaky on. So I'm wanting to sand them down and repaint them. I'm looking at getting a sander but i'm not sure which type to buy....orbital corner sander etc?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I think you would be better to hire a good heavy duty one as opposed to buying a low wattage D.I.Y. I find a heavy duty orbital sander is best, ok,it won't go into internal corners but it will cut through everything else with ease.

If they're big, then a belt sander might be good. Will eat through it.

If its thick, maybe a heat gun first?
