Delta are the in the process of fitting their 767's with individual seat back screens..however, there are still a number of aircraft which only have overhead screens.

Last time I flew Delta from Shannon to JFK in 2008, They did not have individual screens on seatbacks, and I cannot remember if they even showed a film!

I know the last time I went with delta the there was a film on because it was brokeback mountain which made for uncomfortable viewing with two young children

I've flown to NY with Delta twice, once in 2008 and once in 2009. Of the four flights only one had screens in the back of the seats. For the rest we were stuck watching awful films on overhead screens.

As a matter of interest do Aer Lingus have the screens fitted?

They're rolling it out to many more aircraft now.

Yes, all Aer Lingus long-haul aircraft have individual, on-demand entertainment systems in seat now.

Was on air lingus flight not too long ago that didn't have them. Also was on Delta from Atlanta and it didn't have it. To make things worse, the sound through the speakers for the film (Harry Potter) was terribly distorted. All crackling. Wasn't just for me either, a few people said it.
