My Iphone fell a few days ago and broke Apart, any one know where i can get a New Screen for it? and i could fit it or how much would it cost to go to a shop and get them to fix it?

Was thinking of taking my Ipod apart and putting the Screen into the Iphone, but wont be able to make call with that just Text and Surf the net.

    depends on whats broken

if its just the front glass I would recoment just changing it yourself. Not to big a job and there are loads of tutorials on youtube.

If the screen and the lcd are broken, then you can buy replacment lcd touchscreen combos, which are very easy to install, all you need is small screw driver a sucktion cup and you can replace it very quickly.

here is a link for you.

This should do the job it costs around £79

The The Whole Thing broke apart the screen broke, the Metal thing fell apart to, so really all i need is the Screen and some clue to hold the back and the metal thing which house the Screen.

Have you tried to connect up the screen again and power it on to see if the LCD is damaged underneath?? Good chance it is after a knock like that...

Replacing the screen on its own is not an easy job, you have to melt the glue between the screen and the rest of the assembly. The tutorials on the net give a false impression of how easy the parts come apart.

Replacing the whole assembly that kjl linked to is a doddle, 3 little cables to connect and 2 screws...

just make sure the cables are not damaged. The Screen ( glass front ) as previously stated , is a little more difficult to remove than Youtube makes out. Particularly when the screen is fecked. Ebay for the screen / digitizer = maybe 40 euro. Easy enuf

FM Mobiles on Dame Street fixed mine for 70 quid. They had it for an hour. Was considering the ebay route, but the "applying heat" to melt the old glue of the screen seems difficult.

i dropped my iphone 3gs and paid 90 euro to have the screen replaced by a company in balybrack they made a balls of it . When i got it back the screen was perfect but the grill behind the earpiece was missing and the sound on calls was crap. very funny it is my first post had to reply as there seems to be a whole load of waffle on this site in general. apple ireland wanted 240 to fix my screen. i dont fix phones im an electrical contractor. I think its only right to name a company when they do a good job. as for the hippy hieny drinking muppet in ballybrack who ****ed my phone up he is about as usefull as an ash tray on a motorbike :)
