Expect people to tell you NOT TO DO IT.

Do not sell yourself to the Devil. They sell insurance to the self employed and those in trade unions. They feature quite often in arguments about misselling insurance.

You have to be ruthless to make money and must fit the stereotype of a nasty sneaky salesperson.

It's not worth it, its not a career and you will regret it.

Look like you had tough time with someone in the same category. I dont mind working ruthlessly coz thats what I am looking to work.

Apart do I have any choice? I am a Msc graduate in Finance with no job....something is better than nothing....:)

No I considered it as well and thought that I wont be able to find the time to go for interviews for real jobs.

I put this job in the same category as Street Warriors / Chuggers.

Having qualifications in Finance is not important for this job. I know a guy who was hired for this job who worked in a pub for 4 years after school. They will hire anybody because the burn out rate is pretty high.

Sorry guys - not a usual poster but how did OP get on ???

Cmarket have vacancies advertised again and I am considering it - I have hons business degree and prof accounting qual along with 5 years financial services experience (audit & accounting) but would like to get into a sales role - I am sitting the final two QFAs in the next fortnight - I will pass these.

Anyone with any info re. starting basic, comm structure, expensese - I reckon if basic is poor I don't want to be driving around the city/countryside at €1.69 !
