Well done to Mark English and Letterkenny AC!!

I've been watching Mark's name feature in juvenile cross country results for many years now - starting with his victory in the U11 cross country in 2003.

Its a credit to himself, his coaches, his club and his parents that he has stayed with the sport and hopefully he comes through to senior ranks with such talent.

I should mention his clubmate Ruairi Finnegan also who ran same U11 race above and in this years indoor U17 1500m almost broke 4 minutes when decimating the field. I haven't seen a smoother runner in action besides watching the Kenyans on the TV!

Would agree that Letterkeny have an excellent crop of middle distance runners at the moment. English, Finnegan and lets not forget Darren Mc Brearty have evolved into top class athletes with hard work and dedication by themsevles their families and coaches, all credit to them. Exciting summer ahead for them, can't wait
