    This comes as an option for messaging and IM on the Nexus One, you can simply hit the mic button on the keyboard and start talking.

    On my Desire, I have the Google Voice search, and it works for searching Google and for searching for locations in Navigation, I can't find any way to get it working for IM and messaging, is it possible to dl it or enable it?

    It should be there I reckon.

    Is there an option to choose the input method on text entry ?

    Try a long touch on a screen where you want to use voice, make sure you have chosen "Android Keyboard" (as opposed to a HTC keyboard) as the input method if you want to use speech.

    Not available on the Desire out of the box i'm afraid. You need to install HTC_IME mod
