You'd need to give a bit more info on the rifle. The majority of BSA martini action rifles were .22lr target rifles from the 50's and 60's. They were produced in about three or four variants over that time, but started to get left behind by the products of Anschütz and Walther.

They are still being used today as BR rifles and beginner's target rifles (I have two of them in my safe at the moment).

I have a bsa lever action target rifle, mine is a mk4 isu model , it was made in 1980 and is very accurate , bsa barrels were supposed to be the best in the world the 50's , 60's and i have heard that shooters would rebarrel anschutz actions for ultimate accuracy. I think bunny shooter bought one recently too.

as to where it came from , that'll be armoury road, small heath, birmingham 11, bsa still make airguns on the site, they had one of the biggest factories in the world , employing over 25,000 people , i think there is about 12 there now !

look on this website and see if you can find your model
