Polaroid Desktop Background

yesterday I was trying to create my own desktop background after a tutorial I found online. Everything went good so far, but the only thing that didnt work out is, that when I put the background picture in the polaroid picture got the colour of the background and didnt keep the white colour!
Any suggestion how this could be done?0
