Marina Fees in East Cork area

I'm looking to buy a small 21 to 24 ft sailing yacht (First 211/260) but first want to find somewhere to moor it. I'll need a well sheltered mooring or ideally a small marina finger pontoon.

An advice on availability and annual cost, must be easily reachable from Midleton and I'm hoping to spend no more than €50/month.

I can't find any info online.

contact the port of cork, moorings are €85 a year. up to last year they were only being given out in Aghada, to the left of the pier, east side.
if they give you permission for the mooring it's up to yourself to get the mooring put in, depending on the size of boat. remember if you have one size boat now, you may up-grade in future so get a mooring put in to cope with that senario.
some guys will put in a large tractor tyre full of concrete etc as the mooring, again depending on boat size etc will be a few hundred to get the mooring in. people are selling their own and renting so keep en eye on the boat sites, like apolloduck, and the boating section on the echo free adds etc

    Just as a rough guide

40ft boat on a Marina in Crosshaven 2009 season €3300:00 for six months.

Not to rain on your parade but there is no hope of you getting anywhere to put your boat for 50 a month. Marina's are completely out for you at that price - you may (unlikely) get somone to hire you their mooring but again 50 a month seems low. Also I would not be a big fan of renting a mooring from a stranger, you have no idea is the mooring in good condition or not.

Thanks for the response, what do you think would be a more reasonable estimate ??

Its a while since I looked into this - I have my own morring for the last few years. Guys were looking for 500 for use of their mooring, depends where it is too. Marina will cost around 50 per foot - thats if you can get a space.

yes thats about right. Agree 50 quid a month is too light.
