Newbie Question about Dividends.

    Whats the difference beteen the BP Dividend and the Microsoft one here, MS are 13 cents and BP are 0.14 USD:

    Those are both practically the same right? As in 13 cent and 14 cent? Or not? Why are they displayed differently if so and why does the BP one switch from GBP to USD a few months ago?

    And just to clarify, that means if I had 1000 shares that works out at 130-140 USD for either yes?
