    If a poster was receiving 'friendly words of caution' from another member is there a way to block said member from sending e-mails to the given poster?

    click on the said user's name and click block user

    Along with reporting posts, you can also block a user from sending you PMs.

    Threats against Boards.ie members will not be tolerated.
