garda defender in galway

    i have just see the garda defender over galway over the west of city and just wondering what it was doing dose anybody elas see it or is it the defender?

    Yes, she circled over Westside 3 or 4 times then routed to the EICM area then back out to the direction of Connemara.

    It was the Garda plane ok, I was looking at it through binoculars. 254 Clearly visible on the tail with the Irish Flag

    Maybe just training, it's regular enough visitor. Apparently it has some quite sensitive equipment on board. A bit of a 'spy' 'plane.:D Most of the time when it's working you won't see or hear it because it will be at altitude.

    The Garda Defender is as rare as a job in Galway City man!! Indeed she is stacked with sensitive equipment some of which actually deploys from underneath the Aircraft and she is indeed a surveillance platform.
