Book/guide on submitted tax?

    Hi,

I was made redundant last April, but came back to the same company as a contractor. So I want to pay tax for 2009. Slightly complicated as I a) was a fulltime employee b) then became contractor 3 days a week, receiving 2 days a week dole, then c) finished contract and was on dole full time for a few weeks.

I have a friend who will do my taxes, but really I'd prefer to do them myself and understand the system.

Revenue.ie is good I think if you have some concepts, but there's so much there, so many alien terms, etc. Really I'm looking for a guide from start to finish that an idiot could understand.

    Any suggestions on any books/guides?

    Regards,
    Cormac

On the Revenue section along with the Form 11 is a guide to the Form 11 that details what every section means and how to fill it out.

Should be your first port of call.

    After that

www.revenue.ie and search for anything you are unsure of
