Hi jus wondering does anybody know is there any game dealers around the limerick area or near enough to it?? The only one I know of is in Wicklow and that wouldn't be worth the drive.

Would like to get rid of the excess deer we shoot come September once our freezers are full and a few friends take some!

I am open to correction but isn't it legal to sell to an authorised game dealer??

Would you not stop shooting them if your and your friends freezers are full?

there was one in Dromoland castle, i took deer there years ago, i think he's moved into the city now, totally legal to sell to a gamedealer

Place is full of them and the farmers do be asking us to take as much as possible! Now we don't shoot huge amounts but it would be nice to know we could get rid of any extra we may shoot in a day!

It's the stew that nobody will take, My advice is get a good mincer and make burgers of the lot. Buy a mincer that can be taken apart and put in the dishwasher. You will have it years. A kenwood food processor might get you started.
Don't make bigger burgers than 1/4lb size as they are very hard to cook properly. Leave them as thin as your baby finger.

I mince a deer if it's a big stag or an old doe, easier move mince than tough old boot leather.

    Which comment?!

manual says it will range a deer at 800 yards, the most I ranged was 595 or thereabouts and that just a ditch and wasn't holding the scope very steady!

    its a mil-dot reticle!

He may not write on boards but he reads them lol;)

My range finder says 800, best i could get was 635 metres today and it was sunny.
For deer max needed is 300 so your bushnell will do the job.

I got my .223 back after glass bed, very happy I am with it.
Shot a few his nice bunnies this eve.:D
