anyone else notice and probably feel much more comfortable taking corners one way or the other?

For me I take corners or bends much faster when they are going to my left :pac:
Are most corners or bends going to the left or what? :P

Turning left is easier for right handed people, apparently.

I believe that it is psychological. In this country when turning left the defining line is more than likely a physical such as hedge row/footpath etc. On the right it is the middle of the road.
Just back from France where I found it easier to turn right.

    No, it's the camber.

When turning left you have the camber helping you.

When turning right you have the camber against you.

This is of course assuming that you're on the left hand side of the road.

... and also assumes that it is one of the few roads in this country that are properly constructed and actually have a camber

Making passes at women also has an element of chirality.
"Look at George - he's on his ninth date with Betsy, he still hasn't gotten anywhere with her. Every time he tries to make a move, something screws up. Like on their last date, they were on the couch, but she was sitting on his wrong side."
"Yeah, she was on his right side. He can't make a move with his left hand. Can't go left... What about women? Do they go left or right?"
    "Nah, we just play defense."
