Got this email below. I know its been published on the O group and IMRA fourm but I said I'd post it here is well.

Online entries are now open for the Setanta Rogaine Ireland 2010.
    See http://www.setantaorienteers.org/event/rogaine-ireland-2010

We have both a 24 hour and 6 hour event this year again.

For anyone who doesn’t know, a rogaine is basically a mountain marathon where you visit as many controls as possible within 24 or 6 hours, depending on the event you enter. You can visit the controls in any order so strategy is important. The 6 hour event is a good introduction for anyone wanting to try a rogaine for the first time or unsure about the length and night navigation of the 24 hour event. You can of course come back for some food and a sleep when doing the 24 hour – you don’t have to stay out all night, unless you want to win J

Competitors must take part in teams of two or more and all competitors must be at least 18 years of age on the day of the competition. No individual entries will be accepted.

For event information that cannot be found on the Rogaine page, you can send your query by e-mail to the following address rogaineireland2010@setantaorienteers.org.

For anyone who is interested (I know someone last year was asking about the 2003 results), I have managed to put together an archive of all Setanta Rogaines going back to the first one in 1998. See http://www.setantaorienteers.org/Rogaine/RogaineArchive. We are still missing the full results for 2000 & 2002, so if anyone out there has them, please pass them on.

This is one event not to be missed. Six hour event is great for newcomers.

I've an entry in for the 24hr, here's hoping for some good weather that weekend, think it's a full moon so if it's clear skys at night it should help.
