TNT and TBS Announce New Shows, Summer Schedule

You've heard about Conan O'Brien's new late-night show. He's joined in TNT and TBS' new lineup by Angie Harmon, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Noah Wyle, Alfre Woodard and Jason Lee, the networks announced Thursday.
TNT is launching two scripted series this summer. Memphis Beat stars Lee as an Elvis-loving cop who clashes with his hard-nosed boss (Woodard). Harmon stars as a police detective who teams up with a medical examiner (Sasha Alexander) to solve crimes in Rizzoli & Isles. Also this summer: new episodes of returning series The Closer, Saving Grace (its final season), Dark Blue, Leverage and HawthoRNe.
Men of a Certain Age, starring Ray Romano, Andre Braugher and Scott Bakula, will also return for a second season later this year.
Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Breckin Meyer will up-end the buddy cop series (they're buddy lawyers) in Franklin & Bash, which will premiere in 2011. Fallen Skies, a sci-fi series starring Wyle and executive-produced by Steven Spielberg, will also debut next year. The critically loved Southland will also return.
In development at TNT are a medical show starring Oscar nominee Don Cheadle, a drama from Ridley Scott about a cartoonist and part-time detective, and a Steven Bochco drama about an environmentalist insurance adjuster. There are also shows planned about kid-genius detectives, a Philadelphia police commissioner (Jamie Foxx is producing) and a drama co-produced by Mark Burnett about a team of humanitarians who answers letters written to God.
Over on TBS, the network's biggest debut is O'Brien's late-night talk show, which premieres on Nov. 8 as a lead-in for The George Lopez Show.
The network's summer schedule includes new episodes of My Boys, starting on July 26, and the premieres of Are We There Yet? (June 2), a sitcom based on the Ice Cube films, and the animated series Neighbors From Hell, which debuts on June 7.
Not yet scheduled is Glory Daze, a comedy set in the 1980s about four buddies pledging a fraternity together. SNL's Tim Meadows co-stars.
Also in development are sitcoms about a wedding band, a series adapted from the Lomax & Biggs book series by Marshall Karp, and a show about a widower who starts dating again, only to discover he's quite the catch.
TBS also announced that, beginning in the fall of 2011, the network will air reruns of The Big Bang Theory.

Just glanced over that, but there's a few things there that kinda jumped out at me and wouldn't mind giving a look...

The new Jason Lee show, because its Jason Lee...
Franklin and Bash - I usually hate lawyer stuff, but Zack Morris and the guy from Road Trip and Clueless sounds like a good pairing...
Fallen Skies - gotta support the Sci-Fi genre, so it deserves a look at the very least...
Depending on who they cast the kid genius detectives thing could be good... I'm picturing Doogie Houser meets Columbo...
I'd also like to hear more about the Mark Burnett drama, but the premise sounds like it could work very well... Again, if they got a big name in the cast, it'd help its chances...

Can't wait for Men of A Certain Age. They'll probably hold it back to very late in the year, though.
