    Hi all,
Has anyone done their test recently in Wicklow? Are there a number of different routes and where do you have to go?

    Hi,

I did my test there a little over 6 months ago, and while the test routes may have changed, my route was approximately (from memory, but you'll get what I mean)

Drive out of the test centre, and over the bridge into Wicklow town, down past the garda station, and over the Church hill. You are then come out by the Coral Leisure centre. It was a left turn onto the main road there, then a quick right to go up Glebemont (I think?) the estate up the hill across from the esso petrol station. Up there I had to do the reverse around the corner and the hill start.

Then it was down to Rathnew, and I had to do a left turn into the road just past the graveyard. The three point turn was there. Then it was up St Patrick's road, where I turned around again, and then back to the test centre.

There is another route as well that I was aware of, but I prefer the Rathnew route myself. I heard there is a good chance in the morning they'll take the Rathnew route because of all the schools etc, but not always guaranteed. A driving instructor would be able to tell you if things have since changed.
