For a bit of fun, I'm setting this up.

Love him or hate him (the latter in 99.99999% of the time), Cole always knows how to get a reaction outta people. Whether it's his "vintage" phrases, his heel role on NXT against Danielson or completely the opposite role on Raw

He's not great but the King irritates me much more these days.:mad:

On Cole,he's had his moments his commentating on Eddie v Brock was utterly perfect.

I thought he was great with Tazz on Smackdown and I enjoyed his commentary with JBL. I do think he has gotten worse in recent years but I think Vince is partly to blame as he is very controlling towards the guys he has on Raw. It was the same with Joey Styles and Coach.

I always preferred it when it was a Face play by play guy and a Hee Colour commentator. They should turn The King heel again and I think in will vastly improve the commentary on Raw/PPVs. Failing that clone Bobby Heenan from the early 90s and stick him on raw.

I dont think Cole is doing a bad job playing the heel on NXT. I'm enjoying it anyway.

I actually like Cole. Himself and JBL were the best announce team of the decade.

For the better part of the decade I do think Taz and Cole were the equals of Ross and Lawler, and it helped give Smackdown a bit of an identity. He does at least a solid job every time, and with the right partner has hit gold.

By far the most over-rated commentator was/is Joey STyles. The guy wasn't great at all, and that shrill "OH MY GAWD!" did my head in every time.

And I think the Mike Adamle debacle goes to show just how difficult it can be to do a decent job with Vince roaring down your headphones.
