    Hi all,

I'm planning to run the DCM this year. this will be my first attempt and want some advice from you knowledgeable folk....

I'm 36 years young, currently training 2/3 times a week, between 5 and 7 miles at a time. I also play some 5 a side ball and some weight training.

So what do i need to know, programs, eating and the like??

    Thanks..Ray

Hey Ray, Have a look at this thread. Joining that thread will help you so much more than any single piece of advice you can be given here.

Check out this lengthy thread for beginners to the marathon. covers a massive array of topics, but it's all (mostly!) good advice.
