Help: Hair dye on a cream leather couch

My fiance dyed her hair the other night, she had a shower today and sat on the cream leather couch and her wet hair stained it. Is there any way of getting rid of the stain?

I had a look around the net....nail polish remover and rubbing alcohol were the only suggestions other than getting a profesional to clean it.

Right now I have neither Rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover. I tried vodka to no avail. I wiped it as much as I could with leather wipes and a damp cloth too but there is still a light stain.

Anyone ever have a similar experience? Any advice?

Hair salons have products for removing hair colour from skin, and since leather is skin too it might work. You'd get a bottle in a hairdresser's supply shop - or a nice local hairdresser might let you have some.

You can also get wipes in chemists for removing dye from your skin. Might be an option

Just a heads up, give it some time! No really, general use might sort it! Dont beat yourself up over it.

Thanks for the tips all..got it pretty much sorted. Got some strong leather cleaner valeters use. Only a slight stain remains thats visable only with very bright light. TBH, it is only that I know that its there that I can see it.

for future reference i am reliably informed that cigarette ash with toothpaste gets dye off of skin, furniture, etc
