Picking your nose in public

Is this acceptable now? I've seen so many people doing it in the last week, on the train, in the library, walking down the street. They don't even look embarrassed when they see me looking at them. Do you pick your nose in public? If so, what do you do with the snot?

Eat it.. depending on the quality I may get a good chew out of it. Sometimes though there are a few nose hairs in it so I may need to take it out and pick the hairs out, then chew again - bit like picking the grizzle out of a steak:D

Don't do it in public too much - except in the car; but I always check no one is looking:p

It's disgusting, but is also a great way to give yourself a cold/flu/virus. They will get what's coming to them soon if they keep sticking their dirty fingers up their nose

I would sneakily wipe it on someones shoulder, ya know pretend to lose balance when getting up & quickly plant it on their jacket & say 'oh sorry'.

Then later that day the new host would find the nasal debris & feel angered & disgusted at my crafty snot heist.

Sure most of everyone's snot / nose mucus goes down the back of their throat directly. Picking it and eating it is just a slight detour.

The only slight argument for it making you more vulnerable to colds/viruses is that snot traps particles as you breath in. So clearing your nose means there's less of the "filtering" of incoming particles. But if you're breathing through your mouth that doesn't apply.

I'm fairly sure they meant that putting dirty fingers which have touched door handles/toilet flushers/ATMs into your nose is a good way to get the germs into your body.
