Just bought a few packs in Dunnes in Ballyogan (Dublin).
Haven't seen them in Ireland for ages. Hopefully they'll appear in other shops too.

Were they in the fridge beside the picnic real meats or beside the Quorn fridge stuff? 'Might check out the big one in Henry St. in a day or two (too late now, typical!)

    Cheers for that, OP!

They were in the fridge with the other quorn products

They were in Dunnes Cornelscourt today - beside the actual ham, opposite the deli counter. They had the refrigerated Quorn mince, lasagna and sausages too, along with Cauldron tofu and marinated tofu pieces.

I didn't buy any because it was pretty expensive, but it's great to see it available!

Love the Quorn ham I must say and the Beef ones as well, not push either way with the chicken/turkey ones. Not a massive fan of Quron products overall but saw the ham in tesco when I moved to the uk earlier this year and said I'd give them a try and really liked them. They are a great snack on their own! They also do some chunk strip type things for wraps which I tired but weren't nearly as nice - felt kinda slimy.

Thank you! I'm a good bit up from before exams, but it's coming off again... Not much longer to go!

I get mine in Asda in Enniskillen, they have loads of quorn stuff up there like frankfurters, I also bought some paté that I can't wait to try and am having the lamb grills for dinner. i also bought the ham slices and the new turkey and stuffing style which were delicious. Haven't seen them in Dublin or Sligo.

Just ate some ham slices, have to say not really impressed. Am I the only one?

I'm gonna give the other quorn stuff a go though.

they're in Dunnes Rathmines as well.. I never realy liked them, too rubbery and a weird aftertaste. I prefer the vegi deli ones.
Quorn products differ a lot across the product line...

Worth giving some of the other stuff a try cus they are very different and people have different tastes. I think the ham slices are great but took one bit of the lamb grills and thought I'd be sick.

I thought the lamb grills were beautiful but the ham slices had a very strange texture to them. Like eating a sponge or something. Wierd

I disliked the lamb grills too. Overly sweet.

In retrospect i'm not so sure I like the ham slices having had them in sandwiches, they have no real flavour.

I've been trying this quorn stuff too.
I am really unfussy about food. But I couldn't finish the lamb grill....it make me gag.
I tried the chicken escolpe today and it was hard work.

It is the kinds slimey sponge texture that does it. Is the ham different?

I don't find any of them slimey but TBH I'm finding a huge difference in their products which I guess is sort of the point, whats the point in having them all the same and you can't like everything. I thought the lamb grill smelt really odd and tasted even more odd. The chicken escolpe with the cheese I quite like but is a bit dry. Their sausages have a very odd tastes almost metal after taste to me but the mince I like [prob cus I just use it for bulk and it's over powered by vegg and sauce when I cook with it] I pick up the wafer thin ham slices so maybe the texture is different for them to the regular ham slices. I found the turkey and chicken ones to have a sponge texture that I didn't care for and the beef to have a very rough texture. Not gone on the chicken or turkey but the beef and ham I'm enjoying as snack food options.

I looked at the chicken escalope today and it looked rotten, just like junky frozen chicken with cheese and breadcrumbs, ugh.

I don't think you'd like the ham slices. I think the turkey and stuffing ones have some flavour.

Had sausage for lunch. Not the best. I have to say I'm almost given up on these meat substitutes. I only picked them up because I was having severe meat cravings.

Couldn't seem to find tofu in Tescos (?), but that's the next and last try for me.

I never saw them on sale, or even heard of them for that matter. Quorn rashers are nice though, especially in a toasted sandwich with cheese. The taste is nice at least, the texture is a bit weird. I'm guessing the ham slices are similar to the rashers except they're cold.

you used to be able to get Quorn Nuggets but i cant seem to find them anywhere - anyone seen them lately?
    thanks...

Really? I've always seen Cauldron tofu in Tesco, no matter where.

Has anyone else noticed that the Quorn nuggets and chicken burgers are really starting to taste like chicken?????bf says the same, they seem to be using a stronger flavour or something in it but it's a little freaky!

Literally half the price! €23.99 in my local Tesco - £12.90 in Asda....

Yes! I had a southern style burger recently and just could not eat it. For a minute I thought there had been some terrible mistake/practical joke and it was actually chicken.

I love the chicken burgers! My Dad couldn't tell the difference between the Quorn and a real one. I guess that's their mission, to get as near to the taste as possible but if the Lamb actually tastes like Lamb I'll gag. I haven't seen the chicken nuggets in ages either, I miss them :(
