The Omnipod is not available in Ireland yet but it is coming just don't know how long it will take.

Hi has there been any update on the availability of the Omnipod in Ireland? Alternatively if there's anyone on here using it, I'd be really interested to hear about your experience? Reason I ask, is that my sister has been recommended for a pump and she's a bit stressed about it, as someone who has been close to her illness throughout, I was reading and came across Omnipod which seems to have good reviews.

Appreciate any wisdom or experience of this one.

    Many thanks
    Elizabeth

    Hello Elizabeth,

I am in contact with the distributor of the Omnipod in the UK, Ypsommed, and they had hoped to have it available by October. But I haven't heard any updates yet.

However, they have booked an exhibition stand at the Thrive-abetes; Thrive with Type 1 Diabetes Conference on October 3rd, as will two of the other two insulin pump companies. It would be a good opportunity for you to meet with them.

    Regards,
    Grainne
