CDJ repairs in Dublin

Anyone know where I can get a Pioneer cdj 400 repaired for a decent price in dublin city centre?

Got the cdj today off adverts but it was damaged in transport and its giving the error message "E91 01", manual says this means dust or theres something wrong with the mechanism, It wont take in cds at all and makes a clicking noise and sometimes acts as if a cd were in it.
Opened it up to look for dust, that wasnt the problem so I think its the ejector mechanism thats gone on it.

Rang Soundsaround today on Caple St. and the fella said its 20 quid anyways for them to have a look at it then they can tell me what its going to cost for repair.. seems like it could be dear enough this way.
Going to go in tomorrow to Caple St I reckon if no one knows anything about it.

Anyone else ever had this problem with a Pioneer cdj? if so how did you go about getting it fixed/how much did it cost?

    Cheers

They do. Unless the lazer is gone, which only Pioneer will do.

Aquarius do repair CDJs, but from what I remember if it's the CD drive they have to send it off to Pioneer, everything else they will fix there.

Dont go to Soundsaround...got charged €120 by them to fix my deck, all they did was send it away, probably cost them fook all...had to wait 3 months and the staff can be a bit snobby, one in paticular

Not to mention the lack of pricing in their shop, there isn't a price sticker to be found on pretty much all the equipment I looked at. What reason is there to have the price on a CDJ400 but not the CDJ1000? I wouldn't say it's for security reasons as they're all locked behind a glass case and the CDJ400/DJM400 had prices on them showing how expensive they are anyway.

I was in there once, they didn't have what I wanted and I'm not going back again. The shop looks a bit tatty anyway, I'd rather spend time in Aquarius. I highly recommend making the trip over there, it's not too far and it's probably worth it in the end.

    Hi all,

Pioneer's official repair depot is AV Imports on the nangor / naas road, just along side the BMW garage. I had to go there when i had older CDJ500s's and DJM500 and its not a cheap day out.

Labour-wise - you're look at €70 plus the cost of parts per unit, plus vat etc...

I had to get a new headphone jack a long long time ago for my mixer - the part was around €2 (yes two euro) but the labour was €70 !!!! i could'nt believe it when i saw the invoice !!!!

You get a 3 month warranty - at least i did anyway but give them a buzz. Sounds Around etc are gonna send the unit to them anyway and add a few quid for their trouble.

Slightly OT but is it not illegal to not display prices?

    EDIT: Consumer Agency:
Q1. I was shopping in my local supermarket yesterday and there was no price displayed for some products. Is this legal?

In general, retailers must display the selling price of every item offered for sale. More specifically, the European Communities (Requirements to Indicate Product Prices) Regulations 2002 requires that all products on sale to consumers must show a selling price in euro and a large number of products that are sold by weight or volume must show a unit price by reference to the metric measure. A price indication should be either on the product itself or on the shelf edge label.
By law, traders are obliged to display the selling price in euro and in certain circumstances the unit price (the price per kilogram) for all products offered for sale to consumers.
If you are concerned that a retailer is not adhering to the law in this area, please contact the National Consumer Agency.

True mau5 but its still pricey. hope you got some sort of a warranty with the service.

I often found that once i brought my cd players in, they were never the same again. they still had little glitches like not playing certain cd's, not just cd-r's but genuine cd singles and albums.

i even gave them a little test before i left the trade counter.

Has anyone a contact for Pioneer? The loading mechanism is busted on my CDJ100s, Ive mailed them once or twice enquiring about repairs but heard nowt back

There isn't a pioneer office in Ireland. All are based in the UK.

AV Imports are the only official repair shop for pioneer in Ireland as as i am aware, as i have dealt with them before in servicing and repair any cdj or djm products i have had.
