Almera Radiator - fan missing?!

Hi, so yesterday the missus arrived home complaining that there was a slight burning smell from the car when she was driving - apparently its happened a few times.

I took it for a spin and it seemed fine - I was checking everything under the bonnet and noticed a wiring connector dangling near the radiator not connected to anything at all. Upon closer inspection it became clear that there were spaces in the rad cowl for 2 fans but there was only 1 present. There doesnt seem to be any damage looks like it could just have fallen straight out

My question is - does anyone know for sure if a 2001 nissan almera 1.5 petrol has two fans? Maybe the larger engines have 2 but the cowl is a common part and the wiring is there on all of them?! Its a non A/C car by the way.

Temp gauge seems fine no movement past 12 o clock and all fluids an clutch ok.

Anyone know for sure?! Seems crazy that it could just fall straight out!!

It should only have one i'd say. Cars with air con would normally have a second fan.

Burning smell could be the fan (for the heating, not radiator fan) resistor pack. Seems to be a common enough problem with older Almeras, not sure about these. I think it's located behind the glove box.

Second mounting is for a/c, which you don't have hence no fan.

Slight burning smell is not related. Could be anything... might not even being coming from the car at all.
