What is the point of this video exactly? Why 4 years? Why not 5? Why not 3? And how exactly are we going to achieve all of the ambitions outlined in the video? Their website doesn't exactly inspire confidence:
    What's the Plan

There is no plan, at least no “master plan”, managed from the top.
And these guys are looking for donations?

Four years is just to set a target! we need a goal :)
Everyone knows what needs to be done to better our way of living and save our environment!

It's not an organisation, just an insentive to get us to do it ourselves.

Very good but what's the point? The sort of people who would even bother to watch the video are already converted and the sort of people who think that Global Warming is just a conspiracy and buy the latest SUV are unlikely to be swayed by this sort of 'sexy' presentation.

But the problem is the time-frame is completely arbitrary - it's an apparently meaningless deadline.

Indeed they do. However, if solving all of the world's problems was as simple as telling people that we need to solve all of the world's problems, then we wouldn't have any problems, would we? The trouble is, most people don't want to do what is necessary and their reasons are often understandable.

It's a pretty poor incentive. Laying out a list of vague goals, without any indication of how to achieve said goals within a completely arbitrary time-frame, is extremely unlikely to persuade the SUV-driving public that they need to change their habits.

I don't wish to sound overly-critical, but someone has obviously expended a good deal of time and effort putting that presentation together, time and effort that may be better spent on a project with more clearly-defined goals.

Everyone Knows? Try saying here that the real problem is that the human race is growing each year, and every human is adding to the problem of having central heating, foreign holidays, eating meat, driving cars, drinking coca cola and so on. try saying the solution is less humans and see what everyone knows!

Everyone doesn't know, and those who do often claim to know different things. We have debate, arguments, opinions and differences of opinion.

You really expect an answer? I don't know of a single human who doesn't contribute to greenhouse emissions. It would be great if you were able to make an argument or contribute to the thread, rather than what appears to be splitting hairs.

Every human being eats, breathes out CO2 and farts and defecates, all of which contributes to green house emissions. In addition, most humans cook, drive around in cars, use electricity, gas, and so on which also contributes to greenhouse emissions. even the very poorest people in africa contribute to greenhouse gas emissions.

How many make a meaningful contribution? How many live a 'Western' lifestyle? Would it be fair to say that the majority do not? Would it also be fair to say that 'Western' countries tend not to have terribly high birth rates? On that basis, would it not be fair to say that the problem is not population growth, the problem is the lifestyle of the 'Western' minority?
