Use of clubs crest

    Just wondering if someone wanted to use a gaa clubs crest to make memorabillia/souvenirs are they allowed or do you need permission from the club? and if so who would you speak to? thanks

    You must talk to the committee of the club. its only them that can allow the use of their club crest which they should have copyright protected.

    If the crest is not copyrighted you can use it freely.

    Courtesy would dictate you speak with the committee, but there's no obligation to do so.

    Hence, recently, a number of Counties have registered new crests, to protect their official copyright, their old crests being in free circulation for so long without copyright protection.
