I am returning to work one day a week with my old employer with the hope of more days in the future. I was in with the mt local SW office to inform them of this return to work. I am starting back at work next week and she gave me my dockets for the next month, when do i drop in the first docket dated 26th May do I need to drop it in next week or this week. I will be collecting my JSB from Post Office this week and I presume I will get a cheque next week??

If you know what day you are going to be working each week, you can drop the Dockets in in Advance. So if it is agreed that you will always work Monday, then you can drop the dockets in with mondays filled in.

So if the first one is dated the 26th (next wednesday) then hopefully a cheque would issue friday the 28th, for you to get the following Tuesday. When you switch to Casual there is sometimes a week were you do not get paid. This is due to the nature of the payments (the cheque issuing on the friday night) though i think that is mainly with people who get paid into the bank.
