    Hi Guys,

only have the iPhone a few months myself with VF Billpay.

I am heading to the USA at the end of the week for a few weeks holidays. I have loads of bookmarks and walking routes set up on the Maps Application on the iPhone.

I am just wondering if I can access the maps "offline" when data roaming is turned off and I am not within a wifi zone. Don't want to be charged a forturne for data usage.

    Thanks
    Uriel

you will be able to use the maps when in a wifi zone. you wont be able to if your outside a wifi zone, if you have Data Roaming off, which you should or else it will cost you a fortune.

my recommendation would be jailbreak your phone and get a proper GPS app.

You can data roam on vf bill pay, just make sure the phone has the correct carrier file installed, which it should already. And make sure you roam on a vf partner network, like at & t or t mobile. All data then comes out if your 2 gb allowance. Problem solved.

app CityMaps2Go will let you download city maps and access them without need for wifi. Its not a GPS thingy, its just static off line map but its great when you need to search for something or check that street name...
