Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone know the most effective way to get a grease/oil stain of a hi-vis jacket. Its the type of oil that you would find on the hitch part of a truck if ya get me:o. There is only a few marks so i dont think the jacket is destroyed.

    Thanks in advance!

Mods feel free to move this thread if its in the wrong place.

Swafega or W5 degreaser in an orange spray bottle in the cleaning section in lidl. Apply, leave for a couple of min, work in with a scrubbing brush or old tooth brush, lightly in the direction of the thead so as not to fluff it up or make it worn looking, get a cloth & wet an end in hot water, dab it off & apply it again until it's almost gone then just wash as normal with a good washing powder.

Soaking the night before in hot water with washing powder or fairy liquid can also help.

I got hydraulic oil & grease outta a cream sports jacket that was destroyed in it before so it should work for just a few stains!
