I'm sure the exact schedule will be made official during the night, but they've announced which shows they're picking up. Schedule added at the end of this post.
LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- CBS finally opened the doors on its 2010-11 freshman class this morning.

Dramas "Hawaii Five-O," "Defenders," "Blue Bloods" (formerly "Reagan's Law") and the "Criminal Minds" spin-off have received formal green lights to series. They join the previously announced comedy "Mike & Molly."

"Five-O" is a revival of the 1970s franchise of the same name, about the workings of the fictional Hawaiian State Police Department. Alex O'Loughlin and Scott Caan topline the CBS Television Studios-based hour, which comes from co-creators Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Peter Lenkov. Len Wisman directed the pilot, whose ensemble also includes Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park, Jean Smart and Taryn Manning.

"Defenders" stars Jerry O'Connell and Jim Belushi as two charismatic and fiery Las Vegas defense attorneys who go to the mat for their clients. CBS Television Studios is likewise behind the project, which also stars Gillian Vigman, Jurnee Smollett, Tanya Fischer and Teddy Sears. Kevin Kennedy and Niels Mueller co-created and Davis Guggenheim directed the hour.

The newly monikered "Blue Bloods" revolves around a multi-generational family of New York-based cops. The show's cast includes Bridget Moynahan, Donnie Wahlberg, Dylan Moore, Flex Alexander, Len Cariou, Tom Selleck and Will Estes. Michael Cuesta directed the CBS Television Studios-based pilot, which comes from Mitchell Burgess and Robin Green.

And finally the untitled "Criminal Minds" spin-off follows a separate group of BAU operatives. Beau Garrett, Forest Whitaker, Matt Ryan and Michael Kelly star in the series, which aired as a backdoor pilot last month. Richard Shepard directed while Chris Mundy and Edward Allen Bernero co-wrote the script. ABC Studios, CBS Television Studios and The Mark Gordon Company are co-producing.

I'm probably most interested in the Criminal Minds spinoff. The crossover episode a few weeks ago that introduced the new characters was pretty cheesy, but another slant on a great format is a winner for me. Criminal Minds is the best of the police procedurals, so I'm interested in seeing what they do with it.

I'll definitely be checking out Hawaii Five-O and Mike & Molly, but I've no interest in the other shows... I had guessed CBS wouldn't bother picking up too many too shows, since they get great ratings with what they currently have...
Any word on whether or not Gary Unmarried has been renewed yet? It's the only bubble show I'm waiting for confirmation on...

CBS has also picked up '$#*! My Dad Says', the Twitter-inspired sitcom starring William Shatner. The role of Shatner’s son, played in the pilot by Cougar Town‘s Ryan Devlin (Smith from Cougar Town), is being recast.

Anyone else think moving Survivor and The Big Bang Theory to new nights could be a potential disaster - if it works, well played, but I don't understand why a network would move 2 of their highest rated shows to different nights - it's very risky...

People will follow Survivor (not that I understand why) but it could be a potential landmine for BBT.

BBT has performed stronger than "Two and a Half Men" this year though and it seems to have proven that it can stand on its' own. Moving it is a smart move for CBS, they are trying to torpedo the early hour of the Thursday night NBC comedy block by moving BBT and having it lead into "#!&* my dad says"...

If the experiment fails, I doubt anything will happen to BBT - it'll just get moved back to Mondays and "#!&* my dad says" will be cancelled.

    Because its awesome...

Now that I think of what Survivor is being paired against on Wednesdays and Big Bang Theory on Thursdays, the change could very well work in their favour, although now I'm worried about Community on NBC...

Not saying American tv is good, but CBS is by far the best of a bad bunch

    Hmm, i'll watch 2.5 Men/TBBT and CSI Vegas/Miami...pilot wise Hawaii-5-ohh!

CSI:NY on a Friday??!..madness, are they tryna kill the show off?, and then CSI Miami on Sunday...though i think it will retain it's ratings even on a Sunday, Sh*t My Dad Say's with Shatner could be good...but it seems to be it would be better on SHO or HBO....CBS will water it down.

The majority of the stuff on CBS washes over me (especially when HIMYM had a terrible 5th season) but that looks like a pretty uninspiring lineup!

And "$#*! My Dad Says" was an entertaining Twitter feed at best - their decision to base an entire series on it was ridiculous (especially given how Caveman went).

And they're actually advertising it as "Bleep My Dad Says"!

Huh? I posted this back in May ... the only thing missing from my list is Survivor. Why the new thread?

Eww!...dreadful, the show looks like a 100% copy of CSI Miami.

^ yeah but you can pull at least one or two shows from each channel to watch....save for The CW, i can pretty much watch everything they put out :-) ...save for Supernatural (puke) and ANTM (vomit).

    1. You can pull one or two shows from CBS that are well worth a watch - Survivor and The Amazing Race to name two...

    2. Supernatural is the best show on the CW, Nikita could have potential and people who watch Smallville can be forgiven because it used to be good... And what the f*%k is ANTM?

    Americas Next Top Model.

 at the supernatural comment. Its one of the best written and consistent shows on TV in the last 5 years.

I don't even know what that means. Gossip Girl has never received an Emmy nomination, and Supernatural has received 3. What's your point?
