Anyone know where a good spot to get RAM is?
Specifically DDR3 RAM (i'm looking for one slot of 2gig or 4gig).

www.mymemory.co.uk is good, I use them all the time, they ship from jersey so you are liable for VAT, there is no postage cost so order parts separately.

I am not 100% certain but with other RAM I got you if the current RAM is one rating you are allowed go higher spec and it will still work. Due to economies of scale the higher spec ram is often cheaper than lower spec.

e.g. here are the 2 types and the higher spec one is cheaper, same brands.

They are over the limit for VAT, I would recommend getting it sent to your workplace, I think customs figure it is for work use that way and do not bother collecting.

also check www.cruical.com which gives you info on what will fit your PC.

you probably already know all this, but others might not.
